UGMC - Membership Prices: $ 18.00 Individual / $ 35.00 Family A mailed copy of the The Umpqua Gem add $ 13.50 Annually We invite you to become a member of the Umpqua Gem and Mineral Club (UGMC). Educational and rock-collecting field trips take place periodically and members are offered instruction in the usage of saws, grinders, and polishing machines, in the club’s lapidary workshop. UGMC offers a growing library of geology books and jewelry magazines, from which members may borrow. Lapidary arts, faceting, rock and gem collecting, equipment usage and maintenance, wire wrapping, silversmithing as well as jewelry design and fabrication are some of the subjects studied by our members. UGMC members also receive a monthly newsletter called The Umpqua Gem. Membership meetings are on the 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:00m PM - Potluck, 7:00 PM - Meeting, at Westside Christian Church, 2712 W. Harvard, Roseburg. There are no membership meetings for the months of December & July. Our Christmas dinner replaces our December meeting and our annual Club picnic takes place in July in lieu of the membership meeting. You’re invited to attend one of our meetings as a guest. We also have a lapidary workshop for our members to use to cut rock and tools to create jewelry. Hopefully, you’ll elect to become a UGMC member!
